Grandwest Casino Ice Skating Times
Every Wednesday 10h30 – 11h30 during the school holidays! Entry fee is R 10 or FREE if you are skating the session.
The rink opens daily, usually at 3 p.m. Or 5 p.m., until 10 p.m. According to Viejas Casino & Resort, this attraction is Southern California’s largest outdoor ice rink throughout the holiday season. Adults and children have their fair share of fun at GrandWest. Children can escape to The Magic Company to enjoy thrilling arcade games, take a spin on the ice at The Ice Station, the only ice rink in Cape Town, or catch the latest blockbuster as they indulge in popcorn and slushies at the CineCentre. The 2020 Public Ice Skating season is coming in November! The following dates/times are open to the public. It is suggested to get here early or make a reservation, to ensure you get in the time you want, as we do fill up! Masks will be required for all people inside the building. Cost: $7 for 1-hour skate session. Being home to the original ice rink in Cape Town, GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World was designed to maintain the rink and utilise it as an Ice Station. It also boasts both an Olympic rink which is also used for many international practises and competitions, as well as a mini supervised ice-rink for children below the age of five years of. The ice rink is still open and will be until the end of February. Beat the heat and have have a ton of fun doing it at the ice rink. The Function Room at The Ice Station, set within the luxurious splendour of GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World, is conveniently situated only 10 minutes drive from Cape Town CBD.
